Where Are They Now
We encourage everyone who has rescued an animal from Homeward Bound in the Heartland to share updated pictures with us so we can show how each one of these special pets have grown in their new home. Please send any updated pictures to Joni. If you have any funny stories and special “quirks” that your pet has, please share those too.

ZOE
Zoe loves to cuddle and is doing obedience training and agility classes.

Prince
Prince loves to cuddle and play with shoes!

Abby
Abby loves her no stuffing squeaker. She loves playing fetch and meeting her owners at the door when they come home.

Annie
Annie likes to go outside and sit under a bush outside of her house.

Dug
Dug (who’s previous name was Doyle) has found his favorite place between his family’s footstool and couch.

Chassie
Chassie loves to cuddle.

Shadow
Shadow aka Telly

Chin Chin and Gromit
It has been six months now and I don’t know what I did before without them. Coming home is always pleasant. Chin Chin and Gromit always meet me at the door. Wherever I am, both are usually there too. Needless to say, we like to hang out together. They play and chase each other around the house and really are meant to be together. I am so happy that you stuck to your guns and didn’t separate them. Thanks to Homeward Bound, this has been a special year for all three of us.

Champ
We’ve had Champ for a year now and getting him is the best thing that happened in 2010. He’s fully recovered from all of his fears and is such a rewarding pup because he appreciates attention so much. He even wags his tail in his sleep sometimes. Thanks for everything you do and we’ll certainly look to you again in the future when adding another pet to the family!

Maurice
The Mighty Maurice. He is doing great in his furever home!

Fiona
Fiona is doing great! She and our Princess Nellie Belle love each other. And Fiona has inherited royalty! She is now PRINCESS Fiona! Thank you for allowing us to adopt her.

Homeward Bound in the Heartland (Omaha Metro Area) is in dire need of donations (monetary, cat food, cat litter). Our rescue has taken in a record number of homeless and abandoned animals. Our vet bills have been very high. Even though we need donations, we simply could not turn our backs on these animals. We would appreciate any size monetary donation or animal supply donation. If you wish to make a monetary donation that will be used to pay our veterinary costs, please click on the link below.
