Safe At Home

Homeward Bound in the Heartland Animal Rescue, Inc. (HBITH) helps seniors and low-income residents keep their pets at home and out of the shelter system through our “Safe at Home” program. This program offers people to spay/neuter surgeries, food, supplies, transportation when needed to vet visits, and basic veterinary care.

We rescue homeless/abused/neglected/abandoned animals from high stressed situations. as well as those animals that are in danger of being euthanized at a shelter. Health, age or breed does not matter to us. Our rescued animals are examined, vaccinated, and spayed/neutered before they are placed in carefully screened homes.

We here at HBITH can always use donations to support our “Safe at Home” program to help seniors, and low-income families keep their pets.  Thank you for your support.

Homeward Bound in the Heartland (Omaha Metro Area) is in dire need of donations (monetary, cat food, cat litter). Our rescue has taken in a record number of homeless and abandoned animals. Our vet bills have been very high. Even though we need donations, we simply could not turn our backs on these animals. We would appreciate any size monetary donation or animal supply donation. If you wish to make a monetary donation that will be used to pay our veterinary costs, please click on the link below.
